It was nice to see Ben, Stephen, Sean, Helen and Tristan at the meeting on the 14th. (Ruth, we hope your Dad's feeling better, and let us know how Stephen P is getting on when you hear.)
It was nice of the Doctor to suggest those unemployed lads as potential UNIT recruits, eh? UNIT always needs fresh meat, er I mean faces. Almost as fast a turnover in staff as the Enterprise security team - red berets, red shirts, tell you anything? Still, probably safer than a tour of Afghanistan.
Christina now, would've made a handy UNIT troubleshooter – stealth skills, survival talent, good for checking out those strange phenomena/occurrences that might need UNIT's attention. She's not enough of a psychological misfit to qualify for Torchwood.
The Skysharks/Swarm/Stingrays – creatures the Doctor isn't familiar with? Maybe because it's some kind of bio-engineered weapon, a Doomsday device triggered to wipe out the enemy when you're facing defeat. It is hard to see how Nature could've evolved a predator so totally destructive.
Anyway, hope you all had a good Bank Holiday weekend.
